KAITLYN ARCHAMBAULT

Certified Spinning Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor, and Personal Trainer

In 2018, when CORE decided to offer spin classes at the studio, Kaitlyn jumped at the opportunity to become a Spinning® Certified Instructor, having taken spin classes throughout her life and loving the intensity of the workout mixed with good music. Instructing spin classes at CORE led to occasionally subbing for group fitness classes and eventually grew into Kaitlyn teaching spin and group fitness classes on a regular schedule. Loving the connection with people through movement and the CORE community, Kaitlyn became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer to better understand the client connection, the science of movement and exercise, and to enable her to practice with clients in one-on-one training sessions, in addition to group classes. Kaitlyn works full time as a Planner with the Town of Crested Butte, teaches regularly at CORE, and enjoys all the things that Crested Butte has to offer- biking, hiking, skiing and small-town connections, to name a  few- and spending time with her husband and fur babies.

HENRY BEYER

Group Exercise Instructor & Personal Trainer

Being physically active has been a main stay of Henry’s life from a young age, climbing, sailing and bagging peaks.  Henry played multiple team sports, both competitive and intramural, through high school and college.  As he approached 40 (he’s now nearing 55), Henry realized that being physically active was not sufficient to maintain the high level of fitness necessary to pursue his favorite outdoor sports at a level that brought him joy and satisfaction. As a result, Henry dove headfirst into the world of strength and conditioning training reading pretty much everything he could get his hands on relating to fitness and performance, as well as attending trainings and seminars. Henry has been helping active adults stay strong and fit so they can confidently pursue their favorite pastimes for a better, more meaningful life. Henry lives with his wife and son in CB South and spends his free time mountain biking, skiing, camping, and climbing.

WILL KELLAM

Group Exercise Instructor & Personal Trainer

Will has a passion for all kinds of movement and its ability to heal the body and mind. Years of chronic neck and back pain and a couple of serious injuries taught him that moving consistently and in different ways is essential for being pain free. Helping others to move better, feel better and to see joy in this process is what Will loves most. Will is a certified personal trainer and is working on becoming a corrective exercise specialist and certified nutrition coach through NASM. In his free time he enjoys doing handstands, playing on gymnastic rings, crawling in the grass, learning new movement skills, snowboarding, rock climbing, reading and playing guitar. Originally from southwest Michigan, he moved to Crested Butte to teach snowboarding, learn about himself and the world and play in the mountains while creating a career in the health and wellness industry.

TAYLOR RANDOLL

Sales Manager/Membership Coordinator & Group Exercise Instructor + Personal Trainer

Taylor chose Crested Butte as her home in 2015 and has lived the traditional local lifestyle ever since. She has worked and lived in every corner of the Valley, making her a unique asset as the Sales + Membership Manager here at Core as well as teaching classes. Taylor also fills her Buttian style work schedule with teaching for CB Power Yoga as well as working and teaching for School of Dance. You can also frequently catch her playing with fire at local events and in Move the Butte. Taylor’s non-working hours are still spent focusing on a healthy lifestyle with lots of yoga, mobility, dance, nutritious food and time outside with her partner and friends.

HANNAH SMITH

Group Exercise Instructor

Hannah is a Crested Butte native who has been playing in the mountains her whole life. Whether it is summer or winter, rain or shine, you can find her outside, adventuring with a smile on her face. Hannah enjoys getting lost in a good book, channeling her innate competitive nature on game night and hopes to one day become a professional corn chip taste tester.

GINNY TURNER

Founder, ACSM Exercise Physiologist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Nutrition Coach, Group Exercise Instructor

Ginny is the founder of CORE with 20+ years experience as a personal trainer. She first came to the Gunnison Valley in 1993, went to Western and got a degree in recreation. It then became clear she needed to be a beach bum and she moved to Southern California in 2000 – it was there that her dream of owning a studio was planted. In 2011 she and her family happily moved back to Crested Butte. CORE was born in 2014 and Ginny has never looked back. She is an ACSM certified Exercise Physiologist, a Schwinn Certified Cycle instructor, a Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Precision Nutrition certified L1 Nutrition Coach. When Ginny is not at the studio, you can find her on the trails year round, nordic skiing, touring, alpine skiing, trail running, hiking, backpacking or mountain biking. She is passionate about helping people change their lives through fitness.

MACY VINTHER

Group Exercise Instructor

Macy grew up in the Seattle area and began her fitness journey after being somewhat reluctantly convinced to join cross county, track, and cheer in highschool. To her surprise, she soon fell in love with the joy of movement and quickly became a fixture at her local fitness studio while pursuing athletic excellence in her highschool activities. As time passed, Macy began to take an interest in teaching and received greatly appreciated encouragement, mentorship, and teaching opportunities from the instructors at her local studio. In 2021, she became a NASM-certified group fitness instructor and began teaching regularly while attending college classes online during the pandemic. In the summer of 2023, Macy became certified as a Barre Intensity instructor and enjoyed teaching classes to her fellow students while finishing her degree in both Vocal Performance and Humanities at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. In Macy’s classes, you can expect an encouraging and motivating atmosphere which will leave you feeling mentally strong and physically accomplished.

MEL YEMMA

Schwinn Certified Cycle Instructor

Mel is a spin instructor at Core and has a Schwinn Indoor Cycling Classic Certification. She has been a Core regular for the past seven years and continues to be inspired by the incredible Core community and “train to play” mentality. She started taking spin classes to stay in shape for bike season through the winter and quickly became hooked by how effective spinning was to de-stress and stay fit, all while jamming to motivating music. Mel brings a fun vibe to her classes through unique playlists with some classic throwbacks, while challenging her classes to push their limits.

In her day job, Mel is the Town of Crested Butte’s Community Development Director. In her free time, she loves to explore the mountains and desert, preferably on a mountain bike, skis, or with a large backpack on and no cell phone service. Otherwise, you can find her in her kitchen cooking up a new concoction or experimenting with sourdough.

Emily has her Masters in Exercise Physiology from UT and a Masters in Professional Accounting from UT.  She spends her time trying to marry these two degrees and doing her best to keep up with Larry.

Emily and Larry first met in April 2011 to discuss having Emily come on board as a biking camp coach. This job turned into a friendship, which turned into an engagement and finally a marriage. They spent many happy years in central Austin running their businesses and are now thrilled to be taking on a new business adventure here in Crested Butte! They live in CB South with their daughter Tacy, son Jack, and dog Penny.
